Need help with decision...this scares me.

Hi,I have fibro,myofacial pain syndrome and severe osteoporosis. My gyn wants to do a Relast iv for my bones,and Im kind of scared...if I have a reaction or problem,this stuff is in me for a year. She's pushing it strongly since I had12% bone loss in my hips in just two years. Has anyone else done Reclast or know more about it? Experiences I researched on the net run the gamut from horrifying side effects to no effects at all. I postponed it last since I had abad sinus infection, and its looming up again tomorrow...any input at all is helpful. Im 62.

Thanks,guys. Having read the info pro and con, and the fact that its only been out for 3-4 years,I think I'll pass on the Reclast. Im investigating more natural alternatives right now, and the fact that many people I've known had or have osteoporosis and never broke a bone makes me wonder too.
