Been dipping and smoking for over 20 years. Sometimes when I would be dipping, I would start smoking to quit dipping. When I quit smoking, I would start dipping. Or I would be doing both......when I couldn't smoke, I would dip. I know, disgusting. I hated doing it, but I knew I was addicted to nicotine and I could hide dipping. Vicious circle. Dipping is not good for dental health and smoking is not good if you enjoy physical activity. I'm not getting any younger, so, once again, I'm trying to quit both. I could easily dip a can a day or smoke a pack a day, sometimes both.

Since Nov 1st, 2012, this has been my treatment plan:

Dipping: Since this was my nicotine delivery system when I couldn't smoke, I replaced it with nicotine lozenges, 4mg, cherry (cheap walmart brand).

Smoking: When I get out of work, I want a cigarette. I stated with the 1.8% njoy at the convenience store. This worked for a while, but became very frustrating. Finally, eGo-T from local vape store make it extremely effective.

This is brief, but the combined use of nicotine lozenges and vaping leaves me with no craving for dipping or smoking a cigarette. I have not touched a cigarette or dipped in six weeks now.
