Again, I want to compliment you on a nice looking mod.

The insulation I was referring to is on the inside of the tube to prevent the battery from contacting anything you hadn't planned for. The plastic covering on most batteries is easily damaged, exposing the metal case of the cell.
Deburring inside surfaces and putting a thin sleeve inside the mod might add a little extra protection.

oh..ok...yes then, it is insulated....there is a sleeve on both ends actually and they also keep the battery nice a snug in the tube :) thanks rocketman
Looks nice. The flush fit end caps mean you didn't use standard copper tube for the body but a 'repair piece' (that can slide over standard tube, same ID as the caps).

Your end caps must be fitted to the sleeve you used. Was this more copper or something else?

And BTW I though the switch on your first mod was pretty creative.

14500 and 901 is a nice combination. You put together a nice clean looking mod.
Not everybody needs HV to be happy.
Good job.
(insulated on inside??)

Hey Mr. Rocket, I've been looking for a good insulating liner for my pipe mods. do you have any suggestions for the material? My Chuck is just naked copper. I'd like something about 1/16" thick to make a better fit for 18650s and RCR123s.
If you don't see this post I'll hafta start a thread about this.
