I wanted to be able to stand it upright without having to use a cup or something. I also OHMed out the factory switch in the battery cap and it had 1 ohm of resistance, so it had to go!

I knocked out the switch and used a spring out of the battery compartment of an old radio. I also cut a round disk out of the cap to an aerosol can to use as a cover for the hole.

Now it stands upright on it's own.
