they also put this same chip in the new Dripbox 160. I wont be bothering with that tho as I hate the Subdrip rda

Has this been confirmed? The only person I know that said this was Pitviper on Youtube. If so, it has me worried after reading through that dripbox disaster thread on here. I'd really like to know now.

Regarding upgradeable firmware. Vapor Beast is the only vendor I have seen report that the firmware is upgradeable. I even questioned them and they replied that it is indeed upgradeable. So I don't know. Every other vendor reports only USB charging.

Nothing happens when plugging it into my Cromebook or my horrible Win7 PC. Just curious if anyone owns a Kbox 200 so they can let us know if they were ever able to upgrade that? I also find it funny Kanger has two different websites and neither of them have a link on their sites for firmware upgrades. With all due respect though, Kanger mentions nothing about upgradeable firmware on their product page with the 160.
