Here is my working thread on how to build this but the idea was not mine mod originally it was the guy that did the video in my post Pioneer4u 22 Seven Upgrade to Sx350 60 TC watt Is possible
Now if you watch the 2nd video you will see where the thing get a bit hacked there is a tube section that is the top of the battery tube and the part that holds the battery tube to the control head this has a YIHI 200 chip in it and I want to put the SX 350 chip in to upgrade it. Now I could just cut the hole into the mod like the OP did but I find that a bit on the rough side I will have to order the SX350 chip I already have the Seven 22 disassembled.
I talked to them over at Vaporrange.com and they say they have 100's or these for 10$ free shipped no tax and there are here in the USA
Here is a few pic's of the part that I need to be made longer.
Now the new chip is about 2mm longer
The chip has a positive contact that goes thru that small 8,5 mm hole the side that has the smaller external threads about 20.75 mm inside diameter is about 17 mm and it's about 3 mm deep that depth has to go to about 5mm but in till the chip get here but the guy that did this is still around and I have been in touch so he is available for information I sure that any machinist worth his salt will see what's going on with this pretty quick the metal it's made from is not so important 304 stainless is fine, copper, brass all good so left over shop scrapes. I can supply the parts you have all the right measurements to make a prototype.
I have 3 of these already and I would b willing trade a finished mod for the work of something
