I must be ......ed today, don't see a "Collaborate".

I found the "collaborate" after I signed into google

Haha. My apartment is so new that when Google took its last satellite photo of the spot it was still under construction.

Added myself (S. Korea) and my mother, step daddy, and uncle (N. Florida)

That was my problem, had to sign into google before seeing the collaborate option. Got it to work.

Under the Google Maps logo, you'll see "Collaborate", click on "Edit" to the right of that.

In the top left corner of the map, you'll see three buttons - a hand, a placemark, and a line tool. Click on the placemark tool, drop where it goes, and you've added to the map

I don't see the word Collaborate or any buttons. Do I have to sign in first or something?

If so, I just tried creating a new account and I was suppose to get a text which never came.

I give up, got the text and it accepted it and then ask me to sign in and wouldn't take my info.

Anyone want to put Jan in Illinois (near Peoria) feel free.

When placing a marker, edit the text that shows at the marker, not in the window on the left where the names are. That edit window is for the title of the map, not your placemark
