Kir Fanis tank caps???

HI, I didnt know which section this should go in so I hope its ok to post here. Quick question, I just received my kir fanis tank and I can not get the end caps off. I dont want to take pliers or anything like that because Im afraid to mess up the polished silver. If anybody has kir fanis prive varadero tank and knows how to get the caps off without ruining them I would really appreciate it.

The GR-Modders site states the following:

"Please do not remove and do not play with caps. No need at all."

That being said, one of my end caps came off one time when I was forcibly trying to install a new stubborn carto. Everything has been OK since and the end cap will come off if I try to remove it. I'd just wash it out and start using it without messing with the caps.
