Issue uploading avatar, says filesize too large when it's not

So I'm trying to upload a new avatar but it keeps giving me an error that the file is too large

except that the image is only 12.3 KB so I don't understand why it keeps giving me this error

[edit] never mind I figured it out....it was 200x200
needed to lower it to 150x150 for it to upload
