Is it okay to turn a dual-coil atty into a single coil?

I'm using the EVOD2, which has a dual-coil 1.5 ohm atty. I've been wandering, what if I wanted to turn it into a single-coil?... say take the 2 coils out (which I imagine are actually 3.0 ohms a piece?) and install a single 1.8 Ohm coil... is that okay?

In your case yes.... I build all my Protank 3 Heads (same style DC head) as a single vertical coil.
I some cases because of the air holes it can be an issue.

now I havent opened the atty up yet, but, i assume that the 2 coils are horizontal...?

is it ok to just use one horizontal?.. i'd think it wouldnt matter but, still gonna ask.

I would check out some videos on YouTube and make sure you know what you're in for.
I'm sure there is a few rebuild evod2 coils, maybe even some going to single coil.
