This might be a stupid question but here I go.
I live in the UK and due to regulations can't have nic salts above 20mg. I've brought a 10ml (20mg) bottle and found it a bit unsatisfying, could I buy a 20mg Nic salt shot and add it to what I currently have to make it stronger (e.g. like a US juul 59mg) and if so how much would I have to mix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Afraid not. The full expression is "20mg/mL." In other words, if you had 10mL of 20mg/mL e-liquid; you would have a total of 200mg of nicotine distributed throughout 10mL (200mg ÷ 10mL = 20mg/mL) of liquid. Just adding additional 20mg/mL to 20mg/mL, merely keeps it at 20mg/mL... while diluting any flavoring present.
10mL of 20mg/mL e-liquid = 200mg total nic
plus
10mL of 20mg/mL nic shot = 200mg total nic
equals
400mg ÷ 20mL = 20mg/mL

well, i found salt nic pretty bold, i was using 35mg salt, was a bit bold, then moved to 30mg and is amazing, then got a 28mg bottle, difference is noticeable on the 3 different bottles i have, so you might try or start with 35mg...
There was a typo in the OP's first sentence. It should read:
I live in the UK and due to regulations can't have Nic salts above 20mg.
