I have found that if one doesn't clean off juice that has leaked they tend to corrode a little over time. So I wipe the connector clean with a papertowel whenever I change cart or carto. I had one that literally unraveled on me but Rick replaced it for me. I think mine was a manufacturing glitch as opposed to normal wear and tear as this only affected one and none of the other 3. I interchange them all the time. That's the beauty of the Indulgence after all.

I have ordered a set of new end caps. I really really like that they have the collars now! :)

yes, I agree Blu

you have to keep your stuff clean - hahahaha

this stuff we vape can wear the finish off and start it to peeling

and as to the end caps /thread adapters -

yes, I am happy that all parts are available separately for replacements.

David is always open to good ideas,

Di, do all the finishes (gold, silver, titanium) have that same rose gold underneath? You're right, it's gorgeous. :)

I am pretty sure they do Blu
they all go thru the same process,
then get coated with their final colors

I personally would like to see

a plain old satin brushed finish-
with no coating - what do you think ???????

and yes I loooooooooooooooove this Rose Gold color -- beeeeooootifuul..

Dear Di,

Thanks for the advice concerning the button section and the HV-EM8 fitting issue. I'll give it a try. :)

Concerning the extension tube, that WAS purchased from EM back in May. The fact that the titanium coating is peeling off (as shown in the picture) is a bit odd. I was hoping it would have held up longer than 3 1/2 months.

sanjosse

OK sanjosse

I know that this was bought secondhand from a third party so we are not talking warranty here

BUT we will help you with this as a friend of eastmall ------

now the coating peeling off issue ---

yes, I have one of mine that started doing this also -

it is an unfortunate thing, and once it starts it is not possible to fix --
SO

we make it nice like this -------

take some very fine sandpaper, - glasspaper is the best -

sand all of the coating off- yes, go on - be brave ----

when you get it all off,
then buff it all up with a nice soft cloth ------

now you will have a beautiful-

Rose Gold finish to it -- Loverly --

Like this ------

Beeeeeeeeeooooootifuul I did the whole thing now -

it is gorgeous, and all shiny and nice and does not peel at all - haha

as to the 801 atty --

these can screw right down, or just a few turns,
what ever it fits to-

so long as it vapes - it is good---- some screw down more than others.

I have some that screw right down tight, and others that sit up high with only a few turns to connect.
as long as they vape I am happy.

if your adapter thread is worn, you can now buy replacement cap and threads in the shop, we have made all parts available as separate items now for all the replacement needs.
Hiya,

it is very subjective --

I have a gold one that started peeling after 1 month

a silver that started peeling after 3 months

I have a gold that is more than 6 months
and is still perfect on the coating

and a silver that is almost 8 months old
and is also perfect-

so I dunno, I guess it has to do with usage,
spillage, rubbing,
and just general wear and tear - I think

also I think maybe -- how well the coating adheres to that particular item at the time of manufacture.

we do give 3 months warranty -
and most do last the distance and then some -----

but unfortunately, some do not --

personally, I would like to see them all made with aluminum,
with a nice brushed satin finish -

no coating at all, but that is just me.

ps - batty cup in photo looks like silver ?????
also looks like it has been scratched by something --
the markings are very precise .......
so when it got scratched, it has broken the surface of the coating,
hence the peeling -------

nice thumbprint on the back of the button section -- hahaha

Di,

Those are not scratches, that is where the titanium finish is coming off. It comes off in the same lines that are created when the battery tube is machined into existence. If you look closely at the tube you'll see what I'm talking about.

Concerning the cleaniness of my PVs, I take pride in how they are kept clean. I work in an office and my coworker say I care more about my PVs than I do about my work (it's true! Lol).

You know what I'm thinkig about doing? I think I'm going to get some shrinktube and completely incase it in it. Wish me luck. If it works, I'll be back and tell you how I did it.

Di, thanks for your time an your advice.

Believe it or not, every piece of metal tarnishes, varnishes differently depending on the oil coming off of ones skin, I forget the exact name for this process off the top of my head maybe someone can chime in on what the chemical process is called, however it really depends on a few things, how much oil comes off your skin, the make up of it, and every piece of metal may vary with this process, even if you place a piece of stainless steel in salt water it will start to have this process yet they say stainless doesn't rust, but it does because of this.

this was not a critique sanjosse,

it was a light hearted and playful attempt to discuss the issues.

I also keep my PV's quite clean, but not perfect at all times

mine gets a lot of finger prints and skin oils on them.

I still think this looks like a silver batty extension cup-

the button section looks titanium-

and yes, the shrinkwrap should work,
I think there have been PV's made like this
with a covering of this rubber type shrink wrap.

it should work ok. let us know- and show pix after please.

My silver Indulgences I got back in the beginning of March still look new but then I'm always puffing on the PT, but that one looks new too. And I have them knocking around in my purse with car keys and what not. I think maybe a heavy user, and lots of handling... heck I dunno... Crap shoot maybe?

yes, I dunno too,

maybe as you say,
luck of the draw- no pun intended,

and how the stuff sticks to each one maybe
