How many batteries for each REO?

I have 3 batteries for each REO. Is it enough.

And one other question is using the 1.00A level to charge my batteries ok? It is faster and i have a Xtar VP1 if that makes any difference. It has 3 charging levels. I am using it to charge my 14500, 18650, and 18490 aw imr batteries.

I tried to read the instructions that came with the charger but there is too many words and i get confused.

As for batteries for REO's, I would say three each is plenty. The AW IMR last a long time. I am still running mine that I got two years ago.

I don't discharge too low, always around 3.7 to 3.9. I have my batteries in order of use. So, last charged end of line, oldest charged in front. Too many batteries might mean they are sitting longer before use.

When you recharge a battery what is the lowest voltage it charges up to before you discard? I have just bought mine but was wondering about this.

Mine charge up to 4.2 before the charger shuts off.

They are charging to 4.2. I got one in a package deal that wouldn't charge past 3.2. I tossed it.

If you have one that comes off the charger low you can let it rest a hour or two and try it again. Sometimes it will come back.

Assuming all your batteries are the Reo recommended AW IMRs, you can safely charge all of them at the 1A setting, even the 14500.

Looks like the AW 2000mAh is a 2A

Another reason why I got rid of mine. My primary charger is always set to 4.5A or 3A charge rate. :)

When you recharge a battery what is the lowest voltage it charges up to before you discard?

If you have a cell that won't charge up to 4.0v or gets very hot to touch when getting close to 4V that cell is at it's end of life. If you have any cell that gets very hot to touch when charging properly it should never be used again. If I have a cell that won't charge past 4.0V I don't use it anymore.

For these reasons, never charge a cell while unattended, eg. charging overnight while you sleep, charging while you leave the house, etc., especially for Li-ions. Li-ions can vent & explode.

Question for the knowledgeable.. what's the benefit of stacking batteries in my grand? I do use safer batteries, aw imr.

Which batteries should I stack?
What ohms should I wrap my coil to? (RM2)
What difference will I notice over my 1.2 ohm 18650 experience?

I would never stack batteries in a mechanical mod mostly for the reason your voltage output would be over 8 volts with fresh batteries. Second it's supposedly a bit dangerous. You would have to get way high ohm coils to handle that kind of heat. If you want stacked batteries buy a VV.
