Thanks for the replies, so much insight... However shipping is not free or my time to stand in line at the post office. Like I said before-a safety related problem should be fixed without question. It's also weird how an ecig forum has turned into some strange kinda social networking site. I, like most people are simply on here to find out whats going on in the ecig world.

Give me your address and I will come to your house and pick it up and paint the button for you and this will take care of the safety problem. If you want it upgraded you have to go to the post office.

Uh, ...well ... ah.... hmmm.
So you prefer one way communication. That explains everything perfectly.

Can I just say this.

I bought a Hewlett Packard Computer, 8 weeks ago. I got a guarantee, and I paid extra for insurance. Darn thing cost me £900.

It broke down a week ago.

I phoned the company, who are a major chain selling PC's whose shop is half a mile from me.

"Do I bring it back?" I asked, " No, you have had it more than 28 days, so you need to phone the Insurance".

I did that.

"We will be there on Friday".

They didnt turn up till 5pm this evening.

"OH we cant touch it as its under manufacturers guarantee, and if we touch it, that guarantee will be void, as its under a year old"

" So what do I do?"
" parcel it up and send it to Hewlett Packard"

Now thats at my expense, and I have to arrange a courier, am I happy about it? Heck no, but that's the way it goes..

I have dealt with a couple of product recalls before and shipping has always been for the customer (i.e. me) to pay. Return postage is paid for you obviously.

It is being fixed without question.

Look i dont wish to be rude but over time you get to know people in a forum as close as this one and end up being friends. We are a friendly bunch and (because we live far from each other) we solcialise in here. Im sure if we lived near each other we wouldnt bother you with our socialising and we would meet up down the pub for a few drinks instead. If you dont want to join in, fine, dont but dont moan about it.

At the end of the day its up to you mate. Either send it or dont. If you dont like it, sell it. Im sure theres plenty of people who would like to buy it

Out of interest, how much do you charge for queing at the post office. I have to do that to post letters to my customers - perhaps I should be charging. Sorry, couldnt resist. :D

Call HP directly In-Warranty & Out-of-Warranty 0870 842 2339 in UK. They will send you a box overnite to package the computer in. The return label is inside the box. Put the computer in the boc, relabel it, give it right back to fed-x. It will go to a repair center and be fed-x's right back to you.

Thank You TDM.... I will do that in the morning, as PC W**ld, naming no names, have left me sitting high and dry here for a week now...

I do have the original box, as this is only 8 weeks old on Friday coming up...

I couldnt believe it when the guy finally arrived after I had sat all day waiting, and he simply looked at the PC... tried switching it on and off, tried phoning someone who had obviously gone home for the day, and then said, you will have to send it back to HP !!

Oh well....hahahaha

Good Job I have a sense of humour...

Thanks for that number though, I will ring first thing tomorrow
