I'm planning on getting a VAMO here in the next month or so and I'm looking for batteries for it.

I have this battery selected: AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh

I'm thinking this charger for it: Xtar WP2 II

The thing I can't figure out is, is this chargers amperage correct for the battery I have selected? I've read you need an equal or lower amperage charger for the battery it's charging. Help!

That's one of the best standard chargers out on the market and will work great. That 2000mah battery can be safely charged up to 2 amps. That charger maxes out at 1 amp ... you're good to go.

So how did you find that out, would you just add a 0 to the CV cut off current?

The battery link in my signature explains everything you need to know.

Basically you take the capacity and move the decimal 3 spots to the left.

900 mah = .9 amps
1600 mah = 1.6 amps
3000 mah = 3 amps

Yeah your sig is actually the reason why I made this thread, I was unaware of the proper battery charging/storing/use methods. I was wondering though, how do you know the amps of the CHARGER? There isn't an amperage rating in the description of the CHARGER.

This is what I was wondering how you found out the amperage output on.

edit- The only other thing I can see that could be how you found that out is listed after the Input AC...is that the output or something else?
