Might be time to change that first coil out of you haven't already? I doubt it has anything to do with the nic level. You can try to cool down your hit a bit by starting to inhale just a fraction of a second before pushing the button. You can also make a drag stronger by pushing the button first and letting it crackle for a second before putting it into your mouth and inhaling. As the battery goes down on the EGo One, the quality of the vape changes. I love my EGo - great device.

    I agree with peterk1. I'd change the coil head, or at least check it out. Depending on the juice you're using, and the PG/VG ratio (higher VG leads to shorter coil head life), that coil head may only last a week or so. If you vape often, and hard, the wick may've burnt out a bit. Or maybe their just clogged with 'liquid leftovers', that'd lead to a bad toke experience.
