Ego One Mega with CLR

Anyone else having problems running higher VG juice through a CLR rebuildable head?
I can hardly get one hit off before it starts burning the wick and I rewicked and the juice channel is fully open and then I'm having to leave the top cap loose to even get an acceptable first hit.

Running on the Ego One Mega battery, stock coil that comes with it at .5ohm.
Juice in question is vaping Gamers DK, which admittedly is a thick juice, but I've read a bit online about people praising it on high VG and one of the guys in the vape shop I bought the pack from was vaping on an evic with them

I don't have a mega tank yet, but I did read on Fasttech that it can be problematic with CLR heads ... apparently the chimney/chamber covers too much of the coil to allow proper juice flow to the CLR wicking holes (which are slightly higher on the CLR than on the CL heads). At least one mentioned solving the issue by using a dremel to grind in some slots (1mm?) in the chimney base. I just ordered one from FT, but it'll be a couple weeks until I can see/solve the issue myself.
