Ecigs banned, or allowed in Egypt, can anyone comfirm or not?

Hi everyone,

I could easily throw 15 responses together to allow me to post in the right thread, which by itself would be spam in my book, so I wont do that.

So I am hoping someone can help me here. My question is.

Are you allowed to take ecigs into Egypt, without any problem at the airports?

We have taken them to Finland, and Tenerife, Spain with zero issues, so does anyone know the laws in Egypt, and at the airports?

Here's a thread. Read all the way through as some tourists have had no issues. As far as buying juice or gear while in Egypt:
"In Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Health technical committee has rejected applications for marketing authorization of electronic cigarettes on the grounds that they contain harmful chemicals, and lack safety and toxicity data".

Here's a reply directly from the Egyptian State Tourist Office, Jan. 4, 2013:
just got this reply earlier from the egyptian tourist board. Post # 20:

e-cigarettes are allowed in Egypt.
