I love the dual coils on my provari but not the 1.5ohm. I either use the 2.0 or 2.5 and vape it at 5.2 to 5.5. With the lower 1.5 cartos you have to keep it 4.2 or lower voltage for the provari to fire.
Yep, I just posted a video review of the provari and a breakdown of everything relating to watts law with the formulas. The link to my channel is in my sig.

Doing the math, you end up with 11.76 watts, which at 4.2V is 2.8 amps (Volts * Amps = Watts). The Provari shouldn't let you get past 2.5 amps, although the advertised 1.5ohm carto could actually be higher. 1.7ohm should work at 4.2V for 2.47 amps.
Yes you can use them. You wont be able to turn it up as much. I use 1.7 resurectors, and some 2.0 DCC's on my provari all the time. The advantage of a VV device like the provari, is it will work with just about any carto.
DCC = dual coil cartos
