drip tip compatibility question

Hey guys! So I am switching to all protank mini 2's after I clouded an evod clearo after three uses (no weird juices, just freaked out and turned white, no idea). I've had one with the static tip for a while, and just got a removable tip yesterday, with another on the way.

When I bought the removable tip version yesterday, the nice lady at a nearby b&m said that's all she uses as well but prefers a basic plastic tip. So I decided to look at drips for the protank....

Apparently there are 510 and ego tips, but I keep reading a 510 fits on any ego tank, etc. Why would there be ego tips if a 510 fits? I just don't want to assume that a 510 will fit my protank, find out it won't, and the devastation of a wasted order sets in. That's like an hour of depression I don't have time for.

Basically, can I get 510 tips for a mini protank 2 or do I need to specifically get the ego tips??

Yes, any 510 drip tip will work just fine.

Yes, you will need a 510 drip tip. 510s and ego tips are not interchangeable as the ego tips are a little bit smaller. I recently had to get some plastic 510 tips for my Anyvape Davides, because the tips I had for CE4/5s would not fit.

Machining is never identical
Tips, even 510 sppec can and do vary slightly
510 devices vary slightly

2 units with slight variations could end up - Perfect fit / Loose fit / To tight to fit
