Do I need the Provari ring with the Prive tank?

I have been using th ego-c for a couple of months now and have decided it is time to upgrade. I'm sold on the Provari mini and the Prive tank, but my question is, do I need the Provari ring to give it a seamless look (between the Provari and the tank)? Actually, what does the ring do? Improve airflow?

I decided to go all in from the beginning because if I bought something cheaper, I would want to upgrade to something better soon after. Pay more upfront, but save more in the long run.

The ring is purely cosmetic. It just "sits there". Also it is not secured to anything.

I wish I could tell ya about the ring, but I'd just like to say that you will absolutely not regret buying the Provari. I got mine 3 days ago, and it is probably the best investment I've ever made. You will not want to put it down...it's that beautiful! I couldn't get to sleep last night because I couldn't stop vaping on it. True story.

From what I understand you will need the ring to make it look seamless and it's purely decorative.
