1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
– 2 Corinthians 12:9

Proverbs 27:20 (KJV)
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
– Galatians 6:9-10

Genesis 8:21-22 (KJV)
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.

I hate to tell global warming people, but they need to read Genesis 8:21-22! That is a promise if I ever saw one! Should we send Al Gore a copy? :)

1 Corinthians 12:12 (KJV)
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 14:13 (KJV)
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

It really feels weird to answer your own post, but I did it anyway. I do want to say that I do recycle as I feel we should try to be good stewards of our planet!

Going back over this post, I just have to say it. When Al Gore was running for president, I (me, myself, and I.....all three of us) heard him say that his favorite Bible verse was John 16:3. I have no idea if he was using a teleprompter or not, but I shook my head going, "WHAT???" Then it dawned on me that he meant John 3:16. My husband and I looked at each other and said, "BIG OOPS!"8-o

God is my defence and the God of my mercy. In KJV, defence is spelled as you see it here. I was thinking at first...defense, like an attorney. So I checked a couple of more versions and then the Complete Jewish Bible and from what I tell, King David meant a fortress, fence (a barrier), etc. MM, see what you can come up with, or did I do this correctly. I'm sure God can be an attorney as well, in any which way He chooses! :)

Psalms 1:1 (KJV)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
– 1 Peter 2:9

These are powerful Scriptures. Psalms 1:1 is a perfect example of us asking our non-Christian family or friends advice. How can you receive sound advice from one who doesn't know that our example is Jesus? Why don't we (I'm including myself) go to God or His Word first????? Then we can call our Christian friends and family. Sometimes, we just need to vent and I have vented (respectfully) to Jesus many times. Our emotions can get the best of us. Plus we're not to hang out with the sinners or be scornful toward God. I agree with that.....I agree with all of it. It's just not so easy for some of us to control our emotions.....all the time. The Lord is helping me to do better! :)
