I got an adapter to fit some RN4081 cartos I had leftover from an old device to my 510 eGo, but I've noticed that the draw when using this combo is a lot tougher than with 510 cartos fit directly to the eGo. I also notice that the eGo has 4 vents, or notches, on the at the top of the female thread for the battery, presumably to pass air to the atty/carto. My RN4081-->510 adapter only has two notches, and they are half the size of the ones on the eGo. So, theoretically, I'm only getting about 25% of the air.

Are these notches for passing air, as I assumed? Has anyone tried to use a file or something to create additional notches either on the eGo itself or onto an adapter? I wouldn't do it to the eGo battery, but the adapter is pretty simple and I can't imagine it would cause much damage. Thoughts?
