Coil gunk..

So far, even my best looking coil gunks up after about 5MLs of juice, I usually dry burn it off then re-wick. Im using a Chalice RBA, 28awg A1, silica wick, and 100% VG juice.

I wish I wouldve took a pic, but I usually have a nice flat layer of gunk on the top of the coil. Ive been winding my coils tight and close together as possible, and I think thats the problem, since the gunk clogs the coil easier.

Has anyone tried putting more space between the windings?

I have some flavors that do that really bad some that barely do it and one that doesn't at all. Rewick and a dry burn before the new wick goes in and it's fine.
