UPDATE: Ok I just found out that you CAN use other batteries if the voltage is between 3.7 - 4.2 http://e-cig.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=523

Hello all, I was just wondering if we can use standard rechargeable batteries for the e-cigar or e-cigarillo. I found some posts from the e-cig forum about this, but they werent very clear. So if this is true it means that we dont have to use the cheap batteries and chargers from e-cig and another advantage is that we can get new batteries or chargers from our local electronics store. Many people have problems with their chargers turning green before the battery is fully charged thus having very low battery life and less vapour than it should. So I guess this wouldn't be an issue if we used high quality rechargeable batteries and chargers. But again I'm not sure if this is possible. Anyone tried this ?

Thank you,
Michael C.
