Ethyl maltol, used as a sweetener. You can either buy the crystals and dissolve them in PG yourself or buy some premade from a vendor who sells flavorings. Most "cotton candy" flavored juices are just ethyl maltol and PG/VG.

Anyone tried a vanilla from "vapingzone"? I've been looking into them but the prices of the gourmet flavors kind of scare me off only because I've spent a lot of money in the past on flavors I ended up not liking. I know it does come with the DIY territory though. The "vanilla classic" from FlavourArt is good it smells like the kind of vanilla used for baking.
