As most folks are undoubtedly aware, CASAA issued a Call to Action for California in March regarding AB 1500, which sought to ban online sales. AB 1500 has since been amended to impose restrictions on the sale and delivery of online sales rather than simply ban them altogether. While a step in the right direction, CASAA believes that the restrictions are more onerous than necessary and will negatively impact adult consumers.
AB 1500 was set for a hearing before the Assembly Appropriations Committee tomorrow (5-14-14), and we have just been informed that the hearing has been RESCHEDULED for WEDNESDAY, May 21st.
