I watched a documentary this evening about legislation surrounding smoking, that touched on e-cigarettes as well - apparently the 2nd part next week will focus more on this.

If you are in the UK the programme is available here on iPlayer: BBC iPlayer - Burning Desire: The Seduction of Smoking - Episode 1

The 2nd part will be shown next Thursday, 5th June, on BBC2 at 9.30pm.

I just caught the end of this by chance on a repeat tonight, and makes interesting viewing (in a number of ways)...

One way is that it seems (the last 20 mins that I saw) to be made from a rather skewed viewpoint, especially when e-cigs were mentioned...

They mention BAT getting in on the e-cig trade (quite true of course), with 'moral' standpoints espoused by BAT reps, but fail to mention that e-cigs have long since been available from non-tobacco affiliated companies for quite a number of years now...

It is like they saying to the uninitiated that e-cigs are a new technology that has been invented by tobacco companies...
.. when of course the reverse is actually true...
