I think the thing that drew me to the ELA and that has become my my favorite feature is the adjustable center post. Expertly crafted, and flawlessly designed. I've had other mods with "floating" center pins and there was a very high potential for a short from over-tightening the telescope tube causing the pin to put too much pressure on the atty. This (combined with the "sliding" telescopic design) eliminates all potential for the mod to cause the short.
