AW IMR18650 batteries

Hi South Africans - Can't find any SA suppliers of these batteries! Do you know of any or, if not, recommend online vendors that ships to SA? For Grand Reo, which they tell must have these button top, unprotected type of battery.

I have ordered batteries from nitemod based on forum recommendations. They are in the mail so haven't received yet. He ships without tracking!

Update:

batteries were on my desk this morning - shipped 22/07 so about a month/3 weeks.
Seemless transaction - highly recommended.

I have also seen good reports on RTDVapors but have not used them myself.

Thanks Umzungu. Have tried nitemod just now, but they can not get a USPS quote on my address! Frustrating. Have seen RTD, but they don't ship internationally.

my 18650's from nitecore just arrived - 2 very good transactions. Very happy with him. Only thing is no tracking but well packaged etc.

AW is actually a guy on the candle power forums named Andrew. He buys Panasonic and Samsung batteries(probably others too) and repacks them with his logo - you can order from the Candlepower forums and he will ship to you - he has had some issues with companies not wanting to ship batteries anymore, so not sure if he will ship to South-Africa.

Since he has started with his little project the market has exploded with clones and copies - all his batteries have a PCB (Protected) so if you ever see an unprotected AW IMR battery, it is probably not AW. Doesn't mean you got a bad battery though - depends on what they used.

I would recommend just getting a good brand name IMR battery than can deliver 10Amps or more - check the candlepower forums for various tests done on a whole range of batteries
