Any open-source VW Mod boards to buy, and can be re-programmed like Arduino?

Is there any VW boards available for sale, that can have their programming modified by the user, in the same way an Arduino microprocessor can? I have seen a few open source projects, but none yet that have something you can buy already made, or even as a kit with everything needed.

I'd say by the look of the number of replies that you will be better off making one out of the arduino yourself.

It is looking that way. Although the immediate need did not appear, so this will be put on the back burner for now. I suspect that I can just use a motor shield with an Arduino, as those have good power control capabilities.

I would recommend the most simplest VW in the form of a Power Mosfet N-ch using pwm. I think the motor shield might only be rated for 1A

Its arduino fully digitized raptors and okr's, it also has a temp controller on board, its awesome..
Both mod and kits are available.. He wants 50 bucks for the kit the mod I am not sure.
