All of our current 22mm regular size tanks, The Pro-V2, Pro-VX and Cartomator VX now come standard with Fused Quartz glass tubes. This applies to regular/mini size tanks only. XL and "one-off" sizes will still be offered in only PETG and Color Poly for now, with XL and Killer glass coming in about 4 weeks. When ordering any regular carto/mini size 22mm tank, your default option is now Fused Quartz Glass, with PETG and the Poly color choices available as no cost options. We are not raising any prices to cover the cost of the new Fused Quartz Tubes. As I've said before, the 22mm tanks (Pro-V2/VX sold after 1/1/14 are Revision 2. The 2014 Rev.2 caps all have a flush fitting flange for Quartz or Pyrex glass tubes. The 2012 and 2013 Rev.1 models (before 1/1/14) have a taper flange design, which leaves a whisker of a gap at the seam of the cap when using Quartz or Pyrex tubes. It is only visual and is very slight. If you do have a 2012 or 2013 Rev.1 tank and would like us to re-machine the flange, replace with soft o-rings (necessary for glass tubes) and replace the tube with Fused Quartz, it will be offered on the website for $15. Which includes return mailing. We are doing that at cost in order to support our products and customers.
The Fused Quartz Tubes are also available for sale separately and any customer who bought a 22mm tank in 2014 will get a discount of some type toward the Quartz upgrade..I haven't figured out the details yet.
