3rd hand GLV3

I just got my GLV3 from the classies and while looking at the headcap today I noticed some melting/fraying of the shrinkwrap covering the resistors. It this still safe to use and is this normal? Also I want to order AW IMR 16340 (red cell) batteries but i was unaware if you can use them stacked in the GLV.

Looks ok to me but if you want you can send it to me for rebuild. Toss in 6$ for shipping back and ill hook you up. You can use them ,but we want people to use the more protected ones. call if you have any questions,and the address is on the site. Nice puppy btw ..what is he/she?

If you say it's good to go then I'm not going to beat you up over it until after the Christmas rush is over. As for dogzilla up there, that's my baby girl Maggie, 6mo blue pitt with a great personality. She's my daddy's girl since both our 2 legged children are boys. And she was about 28 lbs in that pic and she's pushing 45lbs now so she's quite a bit bigger.
