To the best of my knowledge, Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycol aren't broken down into different types. I have noticed that, depending on what the glycerin is made from, and how pure it is, will affect taste. The only solvent used in vaping that has variations is polyethylene glycol, which has different molecular weights, the most commonly used is PEG400, but it is rare to find someone using this, as it's usually people with Propylene Glycol sensitivity. Perhaps someone with more chemistry knowledge can chime in. Maybe @stols001

For vaping we use;
PG:Chemical Formula: C3H8O2 , CAS#: 57-55-6, B.P./USP grade at 99.5% or greater purity.
VG:Chemical Formula: C3H8O3, CAS#: 56-81-5, B.P./USP grade at 99.5% or greater purity.

I know zero about chemistry pretty much but yes, I do use PEG400. If I understand the question I will try to answer it.

As I understand it, OP is asking about variations in PG and VG, similar to how PEG has weights associated with it. My guess is no, but I'm no expert.
