Rubber Coating for Box mod?

i would just rough it up a bit with some fine sand paper and dust off with a tack cloth

That should be plenty good enough. I've used it to coat wire racks for use in my ultrasonic....works really well to prevent scratching the item I'm cleaning. If it holds up to long term cavitation, it should hold up really well on a box. I've got some Mini Mods I'm working on. I'll coat one and see how it does and let you know.

I agree. I was going to go put some on my steel tube mod, just to see how it looks/feels, but apparently I lost the can somewhere. Not worth running out and buying a new one for me at this point.

Prepped and 3 thin coats; allow to fully cure. If you don't like the "tacky" feel, put a poly top coat that will make it a bit slicker, but retain the durability and some tackiness.
