sometime in the 80's "they" said coffee and BBQ would give you cancer. that's when I stopped listening.

Yeah but we were all fools one time.
I had a friend ask me for a light an put the cigarette back in the packet when I offered my Zippo. "The fumes from them lighters will kill" you was his reason. I guess he saved himself one cigs worth of risk anyway.
An addicts logic is not based on reality.

That's a little different than currently being a smoker and addicted to nicotine, then refusing an e-cig because it contains said drug that he's addicted to in the first place. It's REALLY REALLY dumb is what it is. It's got nothing to do with being an addict. It's just simply called not using your brain.
