I'm begging the forum admin to PLEASE add this feature....

If you don't know what i mean... the popular deals forum site slickdeals allows any member to self stickie a thread using the thread tools dropdown.
Of course - this stickie only works for him/her self.

But it's a very good tool to keep material one is interested in, at the top of the forum.

Would be easy to implement as well. And if you need a hand implementing this in your php/sql... i would help

you can subscribe to the threads which will put it in your subscriptions folder (which can be further sorted and placed into folders.) and then just check your subscriptions for new posts. i ahve a subscription folder for contests i ahve entered, diy threads im watching, rebuildable related things, and modding im interested in.

Let us know if what TD1 suggests works out for you.

Also, if there is a vBulletin plugin that does this, we can look at it. Or we can code a new vB plugin if the demand is there.

I'd use a sticky for simplicity alone. Especially on a single post rather than an entire thread. Topdogie's suggestion was good, as well.
