Greetings all.
So I received my batch of 4 sx-350 chips in the mail earlier in the week. I finally got a chance to unpack them tonight. BTW, the packaging was super duper secure. You only find this kind of packaging being jettisoned from speed boats off the Miami coast
Anyhow, I followed the instructions provided (which was a bit cryptic) and also followed the link and watched the youtube video. I made 2 attempts, one on a Windows 8 system and the other on a Windows 7 system.
On the Windows 8 system, I had to download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64). After installing that, I was able to install the setup software that I downloaded from YiHi's website. The software detected the board, shows it to be connected, but would hang when I attempt the upgrade.
On the Windows 7 system, I can't get the setup software to detect the board, even though the device shows up in my device manager.
I sent an email to YiHi and awaiting a response. I wanted to bounce this off of the community to see if anyone had similar experiences that I had.
I'm hoping there's a simple and obvious answer to my troubles. I just want to get over this step so I can plug it into the mod to do some more testing.
