I am curious if anyone plans to eventually quit vaping too?

I haven't had an analog this year and I'm thinking I can eventually quit vaping too. I started out at 16mg and have cut that in half. I have a bottle of 4mg for my next cut down and eventually to 0mg. I'm thinking it will be easier to quit everything if I'm on no nic. Hopefull a little time on 0mg I can quit everything.

Anybody else thinking this way? Or do you plan to vape forever?

I admire people who can quit but have no intention of trying that myself.

Vaping is a treat for me, I really enjoy it and would probably eat constantly to comfort myself if I stopped. I also have some mental health problems and think a small dose of nicotine is good for me to keep me feeling normal. It's also supposed to be good for conditions such as Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease so I'm intending to stay on a low dose forever.

I also have some mental health problems .

welcome to the club kate......we all do

I have no intentions on stopping my new found sanity provider of vaping, but who knows maybe after a while ill work to zero nic and eventually just put it down one day.

but after 25 years of smoking, this is a path in the right direction for me

If they eventually find out that vaping is free of serious health risks....

AND

They improve on the quality of the hardware and liquids (I know they will eventually make a liquid that tastes and feels just like my beloved/hated Camel Lights)....

...I will gladly vape for the rest of my life.

I love it right now as it is and don't have any plans to stop...even if the stupid government tells me to. But I may quit eventually.

Nicotine (and vaping specifically) provides several benefits for me:

1) A chance to "take a break" from work and life in general
2) An opportunity to socialize
3) It helps me focus when dealing with complex issues
4) It helps me cope when dealing with stressful issues
5) It gives me a nice hobby - though this forum eats up ALL my spare time :)

These are just off the top of my head, but in short I have no intention of quitting.

I agree with you kate. I first just quit analogs cold turkey for about a month and i must say I realy needed the nicotine I felt like crap mentaly and not as sharp. When i found out about e-cigs it was a miracle because I missed the smoke and nic but did not want the tar and health problems I think i will vape as long as (uncle sam here in the us) lets us.

I actually plan on quitting at some point. I originally started vaping in an attempt to quit smoking analogs. I started with medium strength e-juice in hopes that it would make the transition to low, then 0 nicotine easier. SO FAR, I have cut my analog habit down to 4-5 a day, which is pretty good considering I was at a pack to 1.5 packs a day just a little over a month ago. If I could just cut the analogs all together, I'd feel even better about it; however, progress is progress in my opinion, so I'm pretty happy about it. Sooner or later I hope to be able to quit both. I'm still slightly concerned about the possible long term effects of e-cigs, but am operating under the assumption that they can't be as bad as normal cigs. SO, I'm going to keep on vaping until I get down to 0 nicotine, and hopefully that will be my success story!

i still havent fully made the switch to vaping - i'm still smoking some analogs (down to 3-4 in the in morning and 1/2 of one at night). But, I currently have no plans to quit vaping and plan to fully quit analogs. I can see eventually quitting vaping, but not any time in the near, or even distant, future (even if i have to go underground with it)
