Wick or Wickless?

Error.
Hi all, Azusa again.

In another post I made, I mentioned that I have a(n) Ego-T. I currently have a CE4 Atomizer but I might switch to a Clearomizer for now since I'm still pretty new at vaping and I get lazy at keeping my Atomizer juiced up. Anyways, I wanted to know if a wickless clearomizer was better than a clearomizer with a wick.

On a different note, what types of tanks (atomizer/ clearomizer) will fit onto a Ego battery?

All clearomizers have a wick. The "wickless" ones have a coil/wick you cannot see without taking the tank apart.

Any tank with an ego or 510 thread will work on your Ego-T.

I am pretty sure that at the moment there is no such thing as a wickless clearomizer (or any other atomizer). You can take the wicking material out of a cartridge and use that as a dripper, but it wont hold more than a drop or two of liquid.

The 'wickless' eGo-T tank system still has a small wick in it, I believe it is silica.
I used to use a similar system and found that there was always a slightly burnt taste, I was far happier when I moved on to rebuildables.

Most (if not all) tanks will fit onto the eGo battery, they are all 510 threaded connection. Most will look poor with the eGo, so you may want to get a 'beauty ring' for it, this just covers a bit of the eGo connection and makes it look wider, which will look slightly better with the different diameter tank.

You are quite limited to the tanks you can use (with premade coils) by the eGo battery, it is not suited to low resistance coils, I am not entirely sure how low it will go, but I heard somewhere of a max current draw of 2-3amps.

As stated above, all clearomizers have a wick, whether you can see it or not.

510 drip atomizers are the only juice delivery device that I am aware of that do not use a wick. They are basically a cylinder metal tube with the heating coil inside at the bottom. They can only use 3 -5 drops of e-liquid at a time, but they are commonly used to sample new flavors. You just carry your juice bottle with you and drip as you vape.

You can change flavors on a whim. You could use one of these on your Ego battery. If the drip atomizer does not come with its own drip tip (mouthpiece), you'll need to buy one of those too.
