Why would you buy low mg e-liquid?

It seems to me that liquid price is based on the number of mL rather than the amount of nicotine (mg). So as long as the cutting material (VG/PG) is cheaper than the source (e-liquid) why wouldn't you always buy the strongest liquid available?

Am I missing something here? Maybe some people just don't like to cut their own so they're willing to pay extra?

I suppose there are several reasons eg:-
For some high strength is just too much - like filtered v unfiltered "navy cut" cigs.

Using a high nic juice you can dilute it to experiment or find your own "sweet spot". But dilution reduces taste so try diferent combos. Diluting with VG produces a lot more vapour.

Some want to reduce their nic intake - it can be like substituting one addiction for another, especially in the chain vapping phase.

Many other reasons I'm sure.

No you're not missing anything - since you didn't mention flavored juice. Ideally you get the highest nic unflavored available - say 60mg

60 MG Eliquid for DYI AND MIXING ONLY

- and then cut it with VG or PG or both and then flavor it with lorann's, bickfords flavoring.

I just want to know, is there any medical advantage to putting nicotine in your body? I don't know why you'd want to stay addicted to a substance if you didn't need to. I've heard people say it keeps your metabolism up or it helps wake them up, but I can't really confirm or deny either. ...well, I did smoke when I was trying to stay awake for whatever reason. so maybe on that.

I'm just getting pretty fed up of being chained to my cigarettes, of HAVING to have something. when I got my e-cig (about a week ago) I only got non-nicotine juice and carts because my vendor is canadian, but so far I'm doing ok. I was going to try some small dosage of nicotine later, but if I can handle vaping without it, why start back?

i'm not trying to start **** here, I honestly want to know.

Well I can answer for me when I did try to quit the nicotine in the past I went through actual withdrawal symptoms. Including but not limited to headaches, nervousness, shakes, irritability to the point of rage. I smoked 2 packs a day of full flavor menthol cigarettes to I never shorted a cigarette and sometimes on a bad day I would smoke closer to 3 packs.

Cutting it doesn't reduce flavor silly-billies. If you buy unflavored juice and cut/flavor it yourself then you are being frugal. This even works for high mg flavored liquid if you find flavoring to mask or match your liquid flavor.

Some do not like to make their own juice. They prefer to buy it ready made. So yes, you're right if you're using unflavored juice as, Kent C pointed out, but wrong if you're talking about flavored juice.

Yeah I guess what I meant was -
If you buy 36mg and cut it down to 11mg it [the juice] is going to be the same as if you'd bought 11mg from that seller except now you have 3x as much quantity for the same price (plus your cost of cutting material).

I guess flavor probably would get diluted like some mentioned - but for unflavored it just seems like a no-brainer.

ok im confused. i think.

now if you have a high mg nic of say cola and you want to cut it to a lower nic content wouldnt it be easier to get the cola one with no nic to cut with. then theres no loss of flavor :p

or am i missing something
The high nic flavors rarely come higher than 48mg. He's talking about the 60mg that comes unflavored. We thought he meant cutting that with a lower nic flavored to add nic to it - but that would dilute the taste. But he meant cutting the high nic unflavored with another unflavored, I guess? I think most people just would cut the high nic with glycerine or the PG/VG you can buy at the store and then add their own flavoring, like Lorann's.

Too much work for me! LOL! Plus, when you can get a high quality e-liquid like Drew makes at nhaler.com, why bother? LOL

you're not missing anything here.

reason why someone would buy low nic?

they are lazy...or just uninterested or uneducated about mixing their own flavors or nic levels.

;p

or...perhaps they can't find ingredients to make that particular flavor themselves.

Flitz....One might even say it is more convenient to just buy low nic. I am a DIY disaster film myself!:)The Wiz!

You are wrong, cutting dilutes flavor.

I enjoy drinking beer also, but I don't mix it half with water to stretch the cost. Or mix it with Kool-aid to mask the flavor

Why would I want to mask a flavor that I enjoy?

Good luck matching a tobacco flavor. That's all I vape, and coffee.

I DIY'ed coffee once, and the color was so dark it was like molasses. Total crap.

Sorry, your "logic" is wrong.

I agree with Wiz. I've tried DIY... quite frankly I think it sucks.

First of all, I only vape tobacco flavors, with the exception of coffee flavor. I've tried fruity and candy flavors... can't stand them.
The worst issue I had with DIY is the coloring. Almost all flavorings have high concentration of food coloring in them. Food coloring burns on the atty coil, resulting in fowled atomizers, and it really tastes like crap.

If I could get the same flavorings that the Chinese use, like 555, ry4, Hilton, etc. Flavorings void of food color. I certainly would DIY again.

Until then, I'll just buy it already made.
