Why would I ever want to deal with Eightvape again?

I wrote to Eightvape, asking a simple question about products that they carry and if they'll work with each other or not. I received the following form letter instead of a real answer:

"Hello -----,
Thank you for reaching out to us! We generally avoid assisting customers with part compatibility questions, due to the multitude of products out there, and our desire to avoid misinforming a customer that something will work, (or not work,) only to discover we were incorrect. We would not want a customer to purchase incorrect products on bad advice, only to find that it may not be exchangeable after purchase.

Thank you for vaping with us, we look forward to fulfilling your future vape needs!

Thanks again from Eightvape support team.
Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:00pm Pacific Time

Thank you for your time and support!"

A major part of being a specialty retailer is being informative and educating the customer base. I'm saying this from 15 years experience being a specialty retailer and another 20 years as a manufacturer supporting and educating my hundred plus US retailers and distributors in 35 foreign countries.

Everybody offers low prices. If that's all you can do you really shouldn't be in business. Come to think of it, I feel I should help Eightvape towards the goal of not being in business by buying nothing further from them.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Eightvape has always been this way. They are an opportunist & discount retailer. While they may hire some vapers, they are not very knowledgeable with the products (just watch any of their videos and they will bore you to death with their lack of knowledge about vape). That's why they use gimmicky advertising and often are considered a discount retailer of vape. Think of them as a big box retailer, like Walmart, Home Depot, etc. So while vape is specialty retail item, Eightvape doesn't really operate as a specialty retailer.

Would I buy from them again? Yes, if they are the cheapest price. And with a credit card that I can easily file a dispute with.

Would I ever contact customer service for anything? Well, not for product guidance. The only reason I would contact them is if I had to dispute a credit card charge. THis contact would be done to satisfy my credit card dispute department's policy that i must first contact the retailer to try to resolve my issue before filing a dispute.

I can’t ..... about them because I have my stockpile of Freemax coils that where brand new at the time thanks to them. They had a sale for a ridiculous 99¢ per 5 pack of coils. They still sell today for $10-$12 per 5 pack and I’m sitting on stockpile that should last me for life. So they alright by me, but I haven’t shopped there for 2 years so what do I know.

In the past (years ago) I have had good experience with them. I would never expect any vendor to offer specific techno advice anyway. You didn't mention a specific issue with their service so I don't know what you were expecting. It's kind of like ordering a water pump from rock auto parts and expecting them to tell you how to install it.
