I think he is talking about the silicone tube that is inside the drip tip on the vivi Nova 2.0 as far as I know it is there to tighten the draw. I take them out for a airier draw.

that sounds like the rubber piece im talking about. if it's there to tighten the draw then ill probably keep it in there.

It doesnt affect the draw. The draw is tight because of the center pin in the head. The rubber/silicone piece is there to prevent juice from pooling inside the groove that is in the top cap. If you push the small tube down after you put the drip tip in, it will mate up directly to the metal disk that is over the coil. Kind of an extension of the drip tip.

Take the egg out of the tip and insert it into the metal head with the beveled end toward the tank.
Now press the metal cap down on a table so that the egg is now even with the bottom of the cap.
While it's still on the table, insert the drip tip. Now the egg is attached to the tip through the cap.
When you screw the whole thing back onto the tank, the egg will now fit inside the silicon ring on the head without actually touching it.

It solves a lot of air leaking problems, will keep smoke out of the tank on those rare occasions that it actually gets in there and keeps any liquid from getting into the wrong areas when you've set it down on its side.

As long as the egg isn't any lower than the bottom of the metal ring, it'll just stay there attached to the cap when you refill the tank and you can just forget about it until you do a thorough cleaning.

Leave it in and push it down with a Q-tip. Helps reduce juice getting into the center tube and directs air flow across the coil when you vape. I find pushing it down also improves flavor a bit. No upside to removing it!

so i just take the drip tip off and stick a Q-tip into the top of the tip?
