Why do blu e-cigs taste so much better than my vape pen?

Recently went off Blu e-cigs because I had read so much good stuff about the Aspire nautilus mini starter kit. And while it does produce way more vapor and throat hit than a Blu, the Blu, particularly the cherry crush and vivid vanilla, taste ten times better then anything I've vaped off the Nautus. I tried vg based cherry from Johnson's creek, pg based evo brand from world of vape (banana, cantalope) and none of it has the intense taste of Blu. I've tried different voltage settings, air hole settings, etc. Am I doing something wrong, or is Blu just the best tasting system?

I too love the taste and vapor temp of my Blu. They use cartomizers that burn cool and little batteries that don't have much power. I bought a ego twist put it on 3.3 and use a standard resistance Carto or tank. standard is 2.0+ res. blus Cartos are 3.0 or used to be. Try using a higher resistance coil all these 1.5 are just too hot for me. I build coils between 2.2-2.5 and use little batteries and get the taste and heat I want.

LOL :)

If you like the flavors, you like the flavors.

Personally speaking, I have not had the chance to try US Blu. In the UK, Blu sell non-US liquid e-cigs and are actively supporting the laws to get e-cigs banned across Europe, apart from their own, of course. Kind of puts them on another level of low life's really. Despite my intense dislike of them (and most tobacco company e-cigs), what they are trying to achieve from a business stand-point, there's no reason for them to not sell tasty liquid. Maybe you've been unlucky with your choices of liquid to try in the mini Nautilus.

Can you buy the liquids? or are vapers tied into the whole Blu system, because that would be a sad day.

Yeah Blu's brand alot like Vuse, are generally fairly evil, hoping to gain a monopoly by convincing the FDA that vaping the way most of us like to, is "unsafe."
Sadly, the monopoly is well and truly under way in the UK.
Huge areas of the country emptied their shelves of competing products over the last 6 months. The worst part of all is that when Europe bans 'consumer' e-liquid in 2016, refillable Blus will also become illegal, leaving... yes, you guessed it... government approved single use cartomizers - provided by Blu.
You couldn't make it up. Big tobacco strikes from the grave.
