Nobody vapes 100% vg; at least not for long; scarily heavy on the lungs; make you wheeze.

And your information is based off of what?

Been vaping as close as you can get to 100% vg for closing in on a year with absolutely no ill effects whatsoever, and there are MANY like me.

Lots of people vape 100%VG

Lots of people say they vape 100% VG, and I shudder to imagine the thousands of people out there who keep reading it here and go vaping pure glycerin and end up dissing vaping as a result.

Once you add flavoring or water, then obviously it's not 100% VG.

Ok, so you don't vape 100% vg, so what's your point?

Seriously, i mean friggin seriously?

Just because there's some tiny percentage of the juice that's not VG due to flavoring carriers that makes me a liar?

Carry on spreading misinformation based on personal opinion/stuff you've read, make sure to make plenty of blanket statements because your opinions obviously encompass all of ECF'S experiences.

Many of the 100% VG companies out there are even using VG flavor extracts. So there may be a drop or two of distilled water in a few of them. Some of them aren't even adding that. So yeah, it is 100% VG.

And for the record edyle it was high PG Halo that nearly drove me back to cigarettes and it was 100% VG Velvet Cloud Vapor that saved me.

I do.
I have COPD and I cannot tolerate PG. i posted a reply to this question 2 months after i started vaping. I had an exacerbation episode. it has been 4 months since that incident and i havent had one since. dont know if it was a coincidence but i dont want to take any chances. i make sure i get all usp liquids--including the nicotine. i have not had an event since then. just my story.

You are vaping 0%PG, not 100%VG.

Some people do vape only 100% VG. I have a juice or two that is 100%VG, but I do find it to be pretty heavy on my lungs and I can't vape it all the time. Just in short episodes. 100%VG is only one of the many reasons that Blu ciga likes didn't work for me.

Everyone is different. Some people prefer high PG.

I think to answer the OP's question is by letting them know that his mileage may vary.

PG and VG are both considered safe for consumption. PG even has antibacterial properties. You must use e-cigarettes at your own risk always, and figure out what PG/VG ratios are best for YOU.

For me, most of my favorite liquids are about a 50/50 blend. It provides just enough flavor and throat hit for me.

I know people on both sides of the fence.

Just try out a few different juices and then go with what works best. Vaping anything should be done at your own risk as far as safety goes. But I think it is a fair assessment to say that weather you like more PG or more VG, you are likely to be reducing the harm that you were once inflicting on yourself by using cigarettes.

My humble thoughts.

My experience was that VG created less wheezing? Less throat hit, smoother (less flavour as well unfortunately) so less wheezing should follow?

EDIT: I may have got this wrong, I still get confused about effects and because so many vendors don't list their ratio I find it hard to develop definite opinions.

I like vg because its non drying. Pg is a desiccant(drying) and vg is a humectant (moisturizing)That's why you hear people talking about drinking a gallon of water a day. With vg you don't Have to do that.

100 vg is usually meaning that your base is vg and you don't actively add pg. You on inadvertently have a slight bit of pg comming from the flavoring If is has it, and most people add water to thin it a little. I use 3-5% water and 3-5% flavoring. So in reality I use around 94% vg.

I don't like more than 10% pg because it drys me out. Try vaping all day with only having coffee in the morning, my work days end up like this, you would be in a serious position if you were vaping pg you'd be in a state of dehydration and desert mouth.

However it should be noted that environment will effect what works best and its effect on the lungs. Your juice should be Mixed to work in your environmental conditions. In high humidity environments 100 vg will be too moisurizing and heavy on the lungs. For me in these conditions I would add 10-20% pg to cut the moisture. However in very dry conditions or cold winter high vg is awesome because it doesn't add to drying it actually moistuizes.

Lots of people say they vape 100% VG, and I shudder to imagine the thousands of people out there who keep reading it here and go vaping pure glycerin and end up dissing vaping as a result.

Once you add flavoring or water, then obviously it's not 100% VG.

I know people that failed at vaping because they said it dried them out too much too - so it goes both ways ... and 50/50 is a good middle ground if one isn't sure which they should use. And ofcourse unless your using a dripper pure vg needs to be cut at least 3-5% to be able to wick.

Tinnitus.

I've had buzzing in my ears for decades, but vaping PG made it much worse. It took a while to track down PG as the cause. I was surprised to learn that ENT doctors know about the PG causing/exacerbating tinnitus, and I've found several ECF'ers in the same boat.

After switching to VG nic base, it is back to the old level, or nearly so. It took 2-3 months. If I use too much PG-based flavoring, I have a fairly quick reaction, so I (DIY) vape with low flavoring and use non-PG flavorings when possible.
