Later this year me and the wife will be flying from London to Arizona. That's a LONG flight without nicotine (the last time i flew to the states i could smoke in the back :) ).

I'm aware i should be ok taking what i need with me and how but what i need to figure out next is what i'm going to do on the way.

Has anyone got any genius ideas?

The best i've come up with is some kind of Nicorette Inhalator or unconsciousness!

Well, this kind of tracks back to another one of your threads about equipment for sub-ohming. A good combo for what you are trying to do would be an e-Vic VTC mini, 1-3 (quality) 18650 batteries and a Kanger subtank mini.

For the flight you can use the 1.2 ohm coil in your sub tank and close the airflow off for stealthy, subsistence vaping. Once your on the ground you can pop in the .5 ohm coil and open up the airflow for sub-ohm cloudiness.

ON EDIT: There are other tanks available with similar functionality to the subtank mini. I just have experience with them so recommend them over others.

I plan to pick up some snus for an upcoming long haul. I contemplate bringing a few boxes of the stuff instead of my vape gear - to save a kilo worth of gear, batteries, charger and liquids - and having to deal with multiple customs, TSA and immigrations officers in places vaping may not be appreciated.

I have actually put a drop or two of juice on my tongue when the craving hit
for 8 hours or more when I couldn't vape. To me it was no different than
putting a pinch between the cheek and gum and it did curb the cravings!
And it's something you have on hand.

Same here. I did the same thing on my last long flight.

I'd put a small drop or two on my tongue, and it did the trick.

I read that a lot of nicotine when vaping is absorbed through the tongue, so why not put some juice directly on the tongue, when in certain situations where vaping is illegal?

Do not try to stealth vape on airplane.....even in the bathroom. Alarms. If you have a layover or change planes, the last stall in the airport restrooms after they've cleared out is good place. Some airports do have smoking rooms, but I've not been able to find them. :)

I'm going to try and be a good citizen and not stealth vape although i'm very tempted to.

I'm really not sure about juice directly on the tongue, really? I guess it will give you the nicotine you need but so will patches, gum, lozenges and inhalators. Interesting solution :)
You already have the juice, nothing to buy. Try it beforehand.

I have stealth a vaped in theater before and can hold the vapor in long enough so that none escapes when i exhale but i've heard too many stories of people getting caught on planes so i don't want to risk it and ruin a holiday.

I'm having issues with mouth sores at the moment so can't imagine putting juice on my tongue ending well. That may change when i switch to VG though.

I would not think it would be worth it to try and stealth vape on an airplane.
I could imagine the scenario if your seatmate freaked.

They gave me a Nicotrol inhaler when I was laid up in the hospital for weeks and couldn't go outside. Wasn't fantastic, but it got the job done. There is no vapor, and it tastes kind of funky and medicinal (and nicotine-y and menthol-y all at the same time), but it mimics the "act" of smoking which is a big part of why vaping works for me, and you do not get that with patches or gum, although a pencil behind the ear (or an inhaler without the cartridge) might work just as well, for some haha :)

This is going to be my strategy for an upcoming six hour flight. I have stealth vaped in a many airport bathrooms (tootle puffs) with no issues.

Felt like I was "getting over on the man," lol.

Just wanted to put the warning out there that not all smoke alarms are the same, and just because people have gotten away with it doesn't mean you'll be able to. It's a risk, so it's your call to do it or not. I also wanted to point out that many of the things people have mentioned, like blowing the vapor into your jacket or a cup or steaming coffee, IMO, won't work for sub-ohm set ups. Using sub ohm, I can hold my breath in for a bit and release significantly less vapor. It all depends on the resistance and power you're using in your vape.

If you're using a pen style vape, it'll be much easier to stealth vape with. Using something like my setup, which is a an Airek clone (open airflow) set up with .2 dual claptons at 95W, would be near impossible to stealth vape with, other than with tiny hits. And if you sub-ohm and go for a higher resistance set up so you can vape with little to no visible vapor, you might want to raise your nic.

Good luck and hope you have a good flight and trip.
