Whats your favourite coil for the TFV8 and why?

Which produces the biggest clouds? T6, T8 or T10?

I've tried the Q4 which I find smooth, just tried the T8 with even more clouds (only got my TFV8 on 25th). I've also tried the rba which I love too.

Also do you know if the v8-T6s and T10s are Claptons too like the T8?

Not sure whether to go for more T8 or go for T6 (due to lower wattage!) or risk going for T10s but only on 220w h Priv mod though lol.

Cheers, I was planning on using the RBA for both of those reasons.

I have been using the Kanger Toptank, Subtank RBAs as well as the Smok TFV4 RBA for like 2 months maybe. Generally I buy premade wire, Clapton, Alien, Fused or Juggernaut then wrap it myself though - until I delve deeper into it.

However I have yet to perfect the right amount of cotton in the V8 RBA.
Can you guys get the right amount of cotton on the V8 RBA to chain Vape without burning yet no/minimal leakage?
(Not excessively chain Vape, but once every 2-4 seconds)

(Assume it's possible as I did on TFV4 - so sometime using stocks in meantime, plus just to try them)

I've got extra dual core fused Claptons (2x0.57=0.28ohm) - the same as the stock wire that came with it. Plus some standard Clapton, and Alien and Juggernaut wire I've yet to try.

Cheers :)

I am tempted to buy another TFV8 tank as they are so good. Plus could use stock & RBA together till I get the hang of it & get into building further.

I like the higher wattage & serious chain vaping sometimes of the stock coils, but battery drain is annoying (even with 4 pairs of married batteries) - plus could get similar vapour production on the right build.

Additionally as you both said, the price of the TFV8 coils is very high compared to RBA and I did end up going through 1 stock TFV4/Toptank coil in 12-48hr.

It took me a while to get the RBA to my liking on both TFV4 & Kanger tank RBAs. But loved it and was thrilled when I got it chain vaping with no burnt hits and little/no leakage!

So far I like the T8. For me it is a great combination of both flavor, and decent clouds. I just wish they were a bit cheaper. :)

I've only had 26 puffs on the T8, so have yet to really get a feel for it, more vapour than Q4 and RBA (stock wire).

Where as I had used the Q4 for 2.5 days/300+ puffs. (which is still in good condition)
I found the Q4 more smooth I think, and creamy almost, definitely more like hookah yet still plenty of vapour and slightly lower wattage.

However I'm a fan of Claptons, so like the T8 initially.

I am wanting to try the T6s next, due to lower wattage and someone said on a forum on here, that it produces more vapour for less watts?! Also the T10s are on my list!

Have you tried these?

May just buy 1 of both + X4 when my local B&M get them in.

Thank you for letting me know your opinion!

(Ps TFV8 was my Christmas Present to Myself, so only had it a few days!)

I like the T6 coils and they produce massive vapor. They work interchangeably on the Sense Blazer 200 tank. T6 coil on my GPriv

I've been thinking about getting the T6s actually! Because of the lower wattage than T8s, yet still great vapour production.

Do you know if they have Clapton wire in them like the T8s do?

Also do they produce the same or more amount of vapour as the T8s?

I have all of the different coils but have only tried the T8 as the damned thing won't die. I have been using this coil for a month and vaped approx 250ml @ 120w thru it.

If all of the TFV8 coils last like this, I likely won't bother with the RBAs. At $4-5 per coil, it isn't that expensive considering how long they last.

Most clouds? The T-10, of course it needs around 150+ watts to produce those huge clouds. IMO the Q4 is the best simply because I can run it at around 100 watts to get a nice, warm vape and still have a ridiculous amount of vapor. Even on my DNA reuleaux battery life at 150 watts isn't exactly good plus running batteries at CDR tends to reduce their life.

Ah, glad to hear the longevity of these coils.
I have a few of TFV4's and usually go through at least 200ml per coil (Q4) vaping it at 70W.

I have been using the TFV8 baby tank with X4 coils and reading the comment here, I will be damned to try T6 or T8 coils.

Do have RBA's for both TFV4 and TFV8 baby but have not yet used them, if I ever will........... LOL

That's one thing I like about Smok's coils; sure they cost much more than regular coils but they also last much longer. Not really sure why either.

Yep!
Before the TFV4, I had Smok VCT (Vapor Chaser Tank) and they (.5 ohm, 25W) lasted 100-150ml on average. The TFV4 coils cost one or two bucks more for a 5 pack but lasts at least twice of VCT coils. For TFV8 Baby coils, I can assume (and hope) they are of the same or better longevity as TFV4 coils.
On average, with two TFV4 tanks rotating since spring, I replace coils every 2 months or so. Same for the the third Micro TFV4 tank on the Smok Stick One.
My stash of RTA's, RDA's and RBA's are still untouched brand new in drawer. I am so lazy but that is explanatory...... LOL

I've tried most of the premade coils and the taste is a little muted.

I just finally after 3 months or so tried the RBA that came with it and the stock Dual Claptons. 75 Watts Seems to be my sweet spot, I think the RBA is tastier.

I'm lazy so I just bought the SS Claptons and am looking forward to trying them with TC in my Reuleaux RX200.

I got my gx 350 which came with a tfv8 and I also ordered a tfv12 to go with it. I have been vaping a long time and I love the GX350 mod but as far a the tanks I seem to get a lot of leakage. Especially after I fill it I have to blow through the tank to get the juice out before I can start vaping on it. Otherwise I end up with a mouth full of juice along with choking and and getting the juice all over my hands as its pouring out. I am curious If anyone has had the same things happening?

I've got 3 TFV8 tanks one was for the Pico 25 which I use away from home, the TFV8 is not going to work with the Pico so I bought a Griffin 25 mini for the Pico. I made a coil for the Griffin and it works pretty good, flavor and the vapor is about the same as the Smok tank. All the Smok tanks have RBA's in them SS Claptons at .40 ohms.
I have 24.99 for the TFV8 Big Baby Beast at Myvaporstore.
Leakage on the TFV8 is caused by wire interfering with the atomizer gasket, move the wire so the gasket makes a good seal.
