What wattage would you recommend for a 0.33 ohm dual clapton coil?

i bought some 24/32g clapton wire and did 6 wraps on roughly 2.5mm. i'm at 70 watts right now but there's a very long ramp up time (2+ seconds). i don't want to go too high if i will get dry hits or something.

what's the recommended wattage for this setup? this is my first expierence with claptons.

A bigger coil containing more metal will have a longer ramp up (and down), that's unavoidable. You can decrease the up time by using more power. Whether you get a dry hit or not is dependent on if your wicking and airflow can keep up.
There is no recommended wattage, just the one that works for you. Experience and experimentation is the way to find this.
I'm assuming you are using a regulated device, in which case resistance is not important. Try using 34G or 36G for the wrap, and 26G for the core wire to reduce the overall mass of the coil.

I'm guessing that build wamts more than 70 watts.... Me I would remove one of the coils. Might still need the 70 watts.. but ramp will be much shorter.

But the thinner wire suggestion is probably the correct answer.
