I have the same question in on the V2 forum, but no one is answering it. I've got a V2 Series 3 Pro PV. I wonder if anyone here can tell me how long the battery is supposed to last. I have nothing to compare it to; I don't own any other rechargeable battery-operated devices. This one has been going since Feb 2nd. How long can I reasonably expect it to keep working?

Please don't say "650 mAH, duh." I don't know what that means.

It works while charging in passthrough mode with power from a USB port. When it eventually dies, would I still be able to use it while plugged in, or not? It'd be a shame if it's going to become a $60 paperweight.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Depends on how much you vape. I heard a store owner once say that a 650 lasts 6 hours, an 1100 11 hours and so on. False

I chain vape when I can and when I had ego batteries at 650 mah I would get about 4 hours. I got a mod with 18350 battery at 700 mah and got about the same. I moved up from 7 watts to 8 watts and lost some more time. Lower ohms and or higher watts drains a battery faster.

You really just need experience with different devices to know what to expect.

Most rechargables that we deal with are rated at 300 cycles. If you charge it once a day that is almost a year of use but may even last longer.

Most passthroughs use the battery to power the vape so once the battery is dead, the unit is dead. $60 for a year is still cheaper than smoking. In a year something else for vaping will interest you anyway. Or you quit vaping or go back to smoking.

They are essentially disposable items, even the vv/vw mods with built in cells are not renewable, such as the MVP. I haven't been vaping a year yet so have not had to recycle any battery's and even the starter kit 650 mAH battery's I started with are still going strong after 11 months.(probably because I don't use them much now). These things are not designed to last a lifetime, they are just another type of battery like with cellphones or laptops.

You'll most likely want another device with better options like most folks after a while and you can enjoy spending some of the cash you save from not buying cigs on a upgrade when this one dies, eventually.
