Hey everyone,

A customer recently asked me about the "Pulse Mode" or "Boost Mode" on their vape device. Here's how I explained it to them:

Pulse Mode/Boost Mode is a special feature on some vapes that:

  1. Enhanced Flavor and Vapor: This mode increases the power output to provide a more intense flavor and thicker vapor clouds.
  2. Consistent Performance: It can help maintain a consistent vaping experience by pulsing the power rather than delivering it continuously.
  3. Stronger Hit: Users might feel a more powerful throat hit, making the vaping experience more satisfying.
I told them that these modes are great for those who want a more robust vaping experience, but they should use them according to their preference and comfort level.

What do you all think? Does my explanation cover it well, or is there anything important I missed? How would you explain Pulse Mode/Boost Mode to someone new to vaping?

Pulse & Boost are different modes.
Boost (aka Hard, Turbo, et al) is sort of a simplified pre-heat of the coil. It increases by a certain percentage (eg 10%) above the set wattage & for a certain amount of time (eg, 1 second) the power to the coil. It may give a kick to the flavor of an e-liquid.
Pulse is a way of delivering the power. Instead of sending a continuous signal, the power is delivered in bursts, or pulses, of a fraction of a second. It's supposed to help keep the coil at a more steady temperature and, thus, the aerosolizing & flavor delivery more consistent. As boost mode is sort of a poor man's pre-heat, pulse mode is sort of a poor man's TC, minus temp protection. Some coils & some e-liquids respond well to it.

indeed! This is truly a subtle difference between the two!
